A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Psychology and 15-year communications professional, Luz Weinberg has had over 400 of her English and Spanish articles  published.  As a frequent guest speaker and panelist for various local and national, community and political events, Ms. Weinberg has been featured numerous times relative to her public service and professional career, including on USA Today, the Miami Herald, C-SPAN, Latina Style Magazine, Comcast Newsmakers and CableTAP. She is a regular radio commentator on Atlanta’s WRFG-89.3 FM’s Global Drumbeat radio show, and most recently for several Miami TV and radio shows on her own "El Censo Es Sexy" campaign seeking to ensure a Complete Count for the 2010 Census. She previously served as Markeing and Media Relations Director for HCA-Aventura Hospital, and is currently Vice President of Operations of Neurology Associates Group.

An elected offical for over five years now, Ms. Weinberg currently serves as Vice Mayor for the City of Aventura, as the first and only Hispanic elected to the City council.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Latino Elected Officials, the National League of Cities' Hispanics Elected to Local Office Board of Directors, and as Vice Chairman of the Marlene Ericca Empowering Foundation.  A native of Puerto Rico and resident of Miami-Dade County since 1986, Ms. Weinberg has  volunteered her time serving on governing and advisory boards of political and non-profit organizations, and has been recognized numerous times including a 2006 Up & Comer Award by the South Florida Business Journal and a 2009 Women of Leadership Award by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
